राजूचे पतंग
उंच उंच जातात
आभाळात चांदण्या
होउन बसतात !

राजूचे पतंग
पाण्यात पडतात
होड्या होउन
वाहून जातात !

 राजूचे पतंग
झाडावर बसतात
पाखरे होउन
उडून जातात !

राजूचे पतंग
जेव्हा कटतात
तेव्हा पर्‍या
झेलून घेतात !

Raju’s kites
soar high and bright—
they turn to stars
in the sky at night!

Raju’s kites
fall in the stream,
become little boats
that drift like a dream.

Raju’s kites
rest on a tree,
then flutter away
as birds set free.

And when his kites
break loose and fly,
fairies catch them
in the sky!
